Here are the top boys soccer players in the Utah Valley area in 2021:

Player of the Year: Tyson Haunga, Mr. D, Lehi

Rock-solid backline performer who kept his team organized and elevated the play of every athlete while also providing the foundation for the team moving the ball forward from the back to the front.

Offensive MVP: Carlos Rodriguez, Sr. MF, Provo

Incredible athlete and finisher who routinely made jaw-dropping plays and was nearly impossible to stop, notching 24 goals in 15 games.

Defensive MVP: Tanner Wagstaff, Mr. D, Wasatch

Gifted defender who could take opposing offenses out of rhythm both with his foot skills and by getting the ball out of the air.

Keeper of the Year: Sean Gutzman, Mr. GK, Provo

Confident stopper and team leader who faced some talented scorers but still tallied six shutouts.

Coach of the Year: Tim Graham, Lehi

Gifted program-builder who always finds ways to get his teams to improve game-by-game and year-by-year, who helped guide his team to the 2022 5A state championship game.

Dynamic presences whose creativity and skill created openings for himself (eight goals) as well as the entire team.

Kaleb Cowley, So. GK, Lehi

Solid keeper who notched four shutouts but came up with numerous vital saves, including during multiple penalty-kick shootouts.

ANDli Donaldson, F/MF, Timpanogos

Impressive finisher who put in nine goals for the Timberwolves, forcing opposing defenses to always know where he was.

Clayton Ecalono, Mr. MF/F, Pleasant Grove

Gifted athlete who understands the game and was all over the field, tallying five goals and five assists.

Gavin Fenn, Fr. MF, Lehi

Physical athlete who played with maturity beyond his years in scoring eight goals with a knack for making the most of free kicks.

Jon Fritcher, So. MF, Pleasant Grove

Versatile youngster who stepped up in a big way for the Vikings, scoring 10 goals and adding six assists.

Seth Gutzman, Jr. D, Provo

Important defensive presence who was always dangerous coming forward, putting in nine goals with five assists.

Matthew Hadley, Sr. MF, Pleasant Grove

Steady presence who found ways to get everyone involved, including scoring five goals with five assists.

Excellent finisher who could get the ball into the net in a variety of ways as he finished with eight goals and nine assists.

Amazing player who was always a threat to make something happen, as shown by his 22 goals and nine assists.

Athletic keeper who almost always was in the right place to make a play on the ball, finishing with 8.5 shutouts.

Excellent backline performer who worked flawlessly with the rest of the Pioneer defense to limit opposing opportunities.

Jaw-dropping performer who could make things happen for himself (nine goals) or others (12 assists).

Nate Shepherd, Jr. F, Lehi

Talented attacker who used his athleticism to break down defenders and put the ball in (10 goals, five assists).

Aidan Simmons, So. F, Maeser Prep

Standout attacker who had one of the best seasons in the state, tallying 23 goals and 18 assists.
