Meet the Des Moines Register’s 2022 All-Iowa Boys Soccer selections

The Iowa high school boys soccer season came to close a couple weeks ago, when three state champions were named.

Davenport Assumption took the Class 1A state title. Lewis Central upset Pella in the 2A championship. Pleasant Valley shutout Waukee Northwest for the Spartans second-straight state title.

Some of those teams featured the best players in Iowa boys soccer this season. But other players showcased their skills in the regular season, and couldn’t quite make it past tough competition in the off-season.

West Liberty's Jahsiah Galvan (9) looks to pass against Nevada during the Class 1A Boys State Soccer Tournament quarterfinal at the Cownie Soccer Complex Wednesday, June 1, 2022 in Des Moines.

With that said, here are the Des Moines Register’s selections for All-Iowa Boys Soccer Teams. There are six Elite Team selections, six picks for each first team and 16 honorable mentions.

The 2022 All-Iowa Elite Team features the top players from all classes. Selections were made based on regular season production and state tournament results, as well as observations USA TODAY Network staff in Iowa and input from high school coaches.

Names are listed in alphabetical order.
