Men’s Tennis Goes 2-0 on the Day

EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon men’s tennis closed out the regular season in dramatic fashion, defeating Arizona State 4-3 and closing out the day with a 6-0 win over Eastern Washington. With the ASU match tied at 3-3, Luke Vandecasteele came back from 4-1 down in the third set to win 6-7 (4-7), 6-2, 7-6 (7-0).

Things turned the way of the Sun Devils from there, picking up wins on courts two and six to tie things up at three. The match would come down to Luke Vandecasteele on court five, who dropped his first set, before taking the second 6-2 and forcing a third. Down 4-1 when ASU evened it up at 3-3, Vandecasteele would storm back to tie it at 6-6, forcing a tiebreak.
