UFC prospect Paddy Pimblett has found himself in another unlikely beef, this time bickering with MMA legend Stephan Bonnar on social media.
This comes just days after ‘The Baddy’ clashed with former Premier League footballer Curtis Woodhouse after a section of Liverpool fans booed the national anthem and Prince William prior to their FA Cup final win over Chelsea at Wembley.
Pimblett has been traveling America for the last few weeks and during his time in the States, he went to see UFC 274.
During his conversation with assembled media at the event, Pimblett claimed that a negative experience with one of his sporting heroes influenced the way he deals with fans now he is famous.
“I can remember when I was kid, when they did the first-ever UFC Fan Expo in London, and I asked Stephan Bonnar for a picture, and he walked away,” Pimblett said.
“He said, ‘I haven’t got time,’ and walked away and I’ve never forgot it. So, eat s**t, Stephan Bonnar. Eat s**, lad.”
Bonnar, who along with Forrest Griffin is often credited with saving the UFC from collapse when they fought in The Ultimate Fighter 1 finale, took to social media to address Pimblett badmouthing him.
“Paddy Pimblett’s running his mouth, saying that I didn’t take a picture with him at the UFC Expos. Well, you know what? I hustled shirts at those Expos,” he said in a video posted to Instagram.

“I was there all day to take pictures. The only time I wouldn’t is if I was coming back from the bathroom. I’d say, ‘Hey, I’ll take all the pictures you want with me just follow me to my booth, walk with me, talk with me.
“The only people didn’t get picture were those that were to bigger f****** muppets to walk and talk with me and come back to my booth and unfortunately Paddy was one of those muppets.
“Paddy the Baddy? More like Paddy the baby. F****** muppet.”
The UFC lightweight prospect soon got wind of Bonnar’s response and accused the Hall of Famer of pretending to remember their meeting.
“What u lying for Stephan,” Pimblett tweeted. “Just own it lad me & me mate ran over asked u for a pic just 2 of us & u turned away from us said u didn’t have time.
“So don’t start talking pony now like u can remember it cause u didn’t have a fucking clue who I was not my fault bit ya on the a** now.”
